Stand construction and logistics in Hamburg

The Hamburg site sits in the middle of the city, between Dammtor and the Karolinenviertel. Eleven halls, A1 to A4 and B1 to B7, around 87,000 square metres under roof. The largest, B6, covers 13,175 square metres on its own and the height reaches about 17 metres. For build-up the city-centre location means one thing above all: access slots are tight, and missing yours means standing still.

What we provide – and what we do not

We provide helpers who carry, unpack, move and load – not stand builders. Goods receiving, unpacking, transport into the hall, seating, and at dismantling packing and loading, all to the instructions of your contractor or your own team. Your builder constructs and assembles the stand.

Night shifts and weekend work are possible, because build-up windows at Messeplatz often leave no other option. Our staff bring safety shoes and gloves and are instructed in workplace safety. Supplements are stated in the quote beforehand.

Planning runs through one named contact. You are invoiced for the hours actually worked.

Frequently asked questions

How many helpers do I need for build-up?

Up to 30 square metres, usually two helpers and one build-up day. From 100 square metres, four to eight people across two shifts. Hall B6, at 13,175 square metres and around 17 metres high, takes larger structures. Those are guide figures for the support work – how many fitters your stand builder needs is a question for your stand builder.

Do your crews work at night and at weekends?

Yes. Access slots at Messeplatz are tight, so much of the build-up happens in the evening and at night. Supplements are stated in the quote beforehand.

May your helpers drive forklifts?

Pallet trucks, yes. Forklifts and lifting platforms need a valid licence and not every helper has one, so we need notice.

Do you handle goods receiving and hall storage?

Yes. Goods receiving, unpacking, transport into the hall, interim storage and packing and loading at dismantling are all part of it.

How late can dismantling be arranged?

If we know by midday we will try for a crew the same evening. We cannot guarantee it, but we will tell you straight away whether it works.
